Gruppo di Pawlowski was founded in 2007 when Scheld’apen in Antwerp asked Mauro to support headliner Evil Superfarce during a Mauroworld party. The band performed until 2012 under the name Pawlowski and can be seen as the live incarnation of Otot. After Somnubula was put to sleep in 2004, his satanic son Otot arose and released in 2006 an album on the e-label Wack Attack Barrack with songs who would be later played the Gruppo di Pawlowski.

In 2014 the Gruppo recorded their first album, Neutral Village Massacre, in the Electrical Audio Studio in Chicago with Steve Albini. The release was followed by a successful tour in Belgium and the Netherlands.
